Choosing plays for 2005
On 14 January all members are invited to come to the Welsh Church Hall to choose the productions we will do in the Summer and Autumn of 2005.
Chairing the meeting is our treasurer, James Goodman. Everybody say ahhh!
Anybody in the group can either "advocate" or "suggest" a play for consideration. Just let anyone on the committee know if you want to do this or email chair@woodhouseplayers.co.uk - however try to let us know at least a week before the 14th if you're planning to advocate something. We will add new suggestions here as they come in. Already we have:
SPRING 2005 (in addition to Triple Bill)
A "one-off" performance of Ita Hill's "Jules Versus The Next Contestants" (2004), advocated by Ita Hill.
SUMMER 2005
"Metamorphosis" by Steven Berkoff (1969) OR
"Under Milk Wood" (1954) by Dylan Thomas
both advocated by Carla MacLean, who, contrary to previous reports, _is_ willing to put herself forward as director! :)
Rehearsed Reading of plays by Pinter and Berkoff, advocated by Stephen Balchin.
AUTUMN 2005
A large-scale production of Thos Ribbits' and Tim Saward's "Jekyll and Hyde the pantomime" (2005) at the Broadway Theatre Barking at Halloween, in partnership with local dance and drama group Theatretrain. Advocated by Tim Saward and Thos Ribbits.
"Second from Last in the Sack Race" (1992) by David Nobbs, advocated by Stephen Balchin
Don't forget it's YOUR group, so please make your voice heard! That way we can be sure that the group is doing things that you want!
Full details of how to suggest and advocate are at http://www.woodhouseplayers.co.uk/members_programming.html - you can also find out exactly how we'll make our decision if there are competing projects.
